DreamTrips Local approached Codera with a challenge: Replace their current manual onboarding process with a 10x onboarding solution within a 30 day deadline. DreamTrips Local offers their members perks and points for visiting partner restaurants worldwide. Completing an extensive global project in a tight deadline was daunting, but Codera was up to the task.
We started by creating a mind map of the entire user experience from top to bottom. This discovery process revealed which friction points would create technical debt and which were worth the cost. All this was done before a single piece of code was written or a pixel placed on a screen. Without this step, the potential for missed features, gaps in the solution and extra work would be imminent.
The central component of the DreamTrips Local project was developing a robust and efficient onboarding experience for reps to use in bringing merchants to the program. The previous solution was done manually with spreadsheets making the process of onboarding each merchant one by one.
Perks and Points are the lifeblood of the new product offered by DreamTrips Local. Merchants needed a simple way to create perks to entice members to their restaurants. Codera knew this had to be effortless to ensure scalability.
Dashboards were crucial for a seamless user experience across multiple user roles. Three separate dashboards, with their associated permissions and functionalities, were built from scratch. Each one was tailored for mobile to ensure portability and function within DreamTrips Local’s existing mobile application.
Working with a global company means confronting the challenge of supporting a myriad of currencies, languages, and legal frameworks. This challenge was met head-on with sound globalization solutions for currencies, UI and contract language translations, and email editing tools. A world-wide product also requires enhanced security and password management.
Thinking of mobile users first, Codera wanted to push the envelope by creating the most useful and dynamic experience for merchants. We created an interface that allowed merchants to better understand and serve their members by knowing what they like to eat, where they like to sit, how often they visit and even how much they spend in the lifetime of their visits.
